fuckyeahtattoos:
This tattoo is my Frank the Bunny from the movie Donnie Darko. I chose to get this tattoo for many reason: First, I love the movie I think it’s overall one of the best movies I’ve ever seen and Frank is probably my favorite character of all movies hands down. I got the phrase, “Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?” for a few reasons actually. It’s my favorite quote from the movie that Frank has, number one. Number two, I’ve met quite a bit of people that wear many different faces, “skin” is how I like to say it. So the phrase is for all the fake people I’ve come across in my life. I got it done at To The Grave Tattoos, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dave, (never got his last name), is the third artist I’ve worked with and is by far the most talented and as of now I refuse to go to anybody else. He did this tattoo all free hand, no stencil just by looking at a vague picture of Frank. It took roughly five hours and with as skinny as I am I felt every second of it in my bones. This was the second tattoo he’s done for me, the first was a Harley Quinn (Batman character), which he perfected, I immediately came back and he finished Frank about four days before I deployed to Afghanistan. I’m still here in Afghanistan for the next few months and while I’m here Dave is drawing up about 4-5 more tats to get when I return. THE MAN IS A GOD WITH A NEEDLE! Thanks for taking the time to read my story of my tattoo, I hope you enjoy the tattoo itself, I know I did getting it and I love the reaction people give when the see it! Thanks again, Will Frakes, U.S. Army
